There was a good attendance on the opening day of the Lancaster Park Amateur Trotting Club's Spring Meeting, and the sum of <£6775 passed through the totaliaator —the largest amount ever handled in one day at a trotting meeting in the Colony. The following are the results :

Spring Handicap (saddle), of 80 sovs ; two miles.—Redmire, 13sec, 1; Economy, 9sec, 2; Tikaro, 4sec, 3. Four others started. Won by forty yards. Time, smm 17£sec. Dividend, .£l3 18s.
