SPECIAIT TO THE New ZEALAND MAIL. Carterton, November 10. The following is the result of the weightguessing competition. First prize, £2 2s ; second, .£1 Is ; entry fee, Is: —Fat bullock —The weighing was done in the presence of the committee and secretary, the weight being 8571 b. There were 110 competitors, the guessing varying from 6301 b to 10401 b. The winner was H. D; Campbell, Masterton, 18601 b; E. Mason, Carterton, 8501 b, second.
Five fat sheep weighed 3721 b. First prize, £2 2s ; second, £1 Is. There were 97 competitors, their guessing ranging from 2301 bto 6501 b. P. W. Smith, Martinborough, and H. W. G-roube, Carterton, tied with the exact weight, and divided the prizes.
