MeEwen, Government Expert, addressed the meeting, and said he was satisfied New Zealand cheese, was equal to almost the finest Canadian. The best butter was equal to the host Victorian, and il they could put if on the market in a week, the host would compare favourably with the Danish, hut inferior was being turned out, which told against New Zealand. He thought the keeping of butter and cheese in the dock i:i London for ! '■ days should ho investigated by the A-sooiation and the Stock Department. The following resolutions were carried : That tho Government should continue to freozc butter for shipment free of cost, but that they should only freezo butter of No. 1 quality; that tho question of cool chambers in steamers bo left to the committee ; that it ho a recommendation to tho committee that twelve-sided cheese cases ho used, and two chooses packed in a box, and that oblong butter boxes of uniform sizo bo adopted.
