Capetown, June 5. Mr Cecil Rhodes expresses the opinion that the railway to Bultiwayo will be completed within two years. Capetown, June G. Air Rhodes anticipates that the railway to Pulapye wiU be finished within a, year. He declares that the charter of tho South Africa Company will continue until tho time is ripe for autonomy being granted to the country north of the Zambesi, w hich is considered to lie tho most valuable portion. He adds that for five years ho advised Frcetrade and federal defence with the Cape, Rhodesia retaining its independency. Capetown, June 8. The columns under Major Sprcckley and Lieutenant Beal routed a strong linpi of Matabele on the Gweloroad, killing 15U of them. Mr Rhodes, addressing four hundred inhabitants of Gwelo this afternoon (says a telegram of May sth), said that he intended to lose no time in thoroughly thrashing the natives and giving them an everlasting lesson. The column conjointly will attack Maviu in a day or two, and then proceed to Bulawayo with as little delay as possible.
