Mr G. J. Scholiekl waited on tho Board and asked to be allowed to take up section 1, block 13, Iluntervillo No. t Association, adjoining his own land. Agreed to. E. L. Wakelin, jun., was granted permission to purchase section 07, block 1 1-, Mangaone, if tho conditions were complied with, as well as W. J. Turner for section 18, block 9, Mangahao. 11. Daysh, section 5.v, block 11, McKonzie Settlement, was granted six months' extension of residence conditions, providing building is commenced forthwith. A. R. Claridgo's application to transfer section 8, block 5, Aohanga, to John Taylor was referred to the ranger. Owing to W. 11. IJooth not signing the lease of section 50, Uorowhenua, it was decided to forfeit the section and allow tho father to take it up. 11. Merson was allowed to take his brother as a partner for section 21, block 5, Karioi. It was decided to call on E. Morns to show cause why section 8, block 8, Clifton No. 1 Association, should not bo forfeited. F. J. Armitago's application to lease a portion of tho ' Waimarino Plains for a small grazing run was refused, as the Commissioner thought it should be kept as a commonage for the first settlers. A, Geraty was allowed to select section 12, Makohine, at 2s (id per acre. It was decided to rescind tho forfeiture of James Dungan's section at Maugatainoka if arrears are paid by next meeting. The forfeiture of J. M. Turner's interest in section 21, block 4, Umutoi, was confirmed. /,. Hoyden was granted permission to reside temporarily on his brother's section, Kakariki.
Mrs C. Abbiss was allowed an extension of six months to comply with residence conditions on section 79, block 7, Ongo. Mrs M. Morgan was allowed to count residence on her husband's section, Umutoi. With reference to Makuri revaluations, it was decided to adopt the arbitrator's decision on the following holdings:— W. Freeman, 25s per acre ; S. C. Anderson, 22s Od per acre; R. C. Wilson, 20s per acre; Thos. Wilson, 18s per acre; Willoughby Bros., 10s lOjd per acre ; It. 11. Wilson, 10s ljd per acre. The Board then adjourned.
