MILLION GALLONS OF WHISKY BURNED.

Louisville, Ky., March 28. Warehouses Nos. 3 and o of tho Pleasure Ridge Distillery, 12 miles below this city, burned about noon to-day, entailing a loss of nearly £200,000, The blaze started in warehouse No. 2, and communicated to the others. Engines were sent from this city, but did not reach there in timo to bo of any service. Tho property is owned by Pernheim Bros., Klock, frank and Co., and N. Block and Son, of I his cit y.

Ono million two hundred, thousand gallons ot whi-ky wero stored on the promises. This was in bond. If it is found that all this whisky is burned oi ruined, the Government will loso, or rather fail to collect, £21)4,000.
