MARK TWAIN AGAIN.

There are few prominent Americans more favourably known in Australia than "Mark Twain," the humorist. He was once credited with a truism which fairly illustrates the keenness of perception and soundness cf thought which gleam brightly through and characterise his quaint diction. Ho is reported as saying:—"Thero is no use filling the upper story of a youth with scientific knowledge unless he has a fair stock of common sense on tho ground floor." Good old-fashioned common sense was what Mr Hugh Bamett, a retired Government servant, of Roma, Queensland, exercised when he took advantage of his friends' and neighbours' experience and choso a remedy for indigestion and liver troubles which had cured them. His experience justified that decision, and is worthy of thoughtful consideration. Ho writes:—-"From personal experience with Warner's Safe Cure I have no hesitation in advising persons suffering from liver disease to take it in preference to all other remedies. For a long time I endured terrible suffering from that complaint. The pains under the shoulder blades, down the back and in my chest and side were so severe that I could get no rest day or night. My appocito failed, and I became so weak and worn out that I was obliged to give up work of every kind. After spending much time and money in other directions, I started to take Warner's Safe Cure, and after using several bottles I am thankful to say that 1 have quite recovered my former good health."
