The freezing of rabbits alone this year at the Mataura Freezing Works will increase tho Company's income by fully -CSOO. No extra labour or motive power is needed to carry on this work in addition to the sheepfreezing. The sheep-farmers in this district, says the Feildiug Star, have been singularly fortunate in getting last season's wool clip Homo in time to catch the top of the market. Although there is now an apparent decline of 5 per cent, it can have no appreciable effect as regards New Zealand.
