At Messrs Harcourt and Co.'s auction sale on Tuesday, there was a large attendance. Tho first property submitted was a small house in Windsor place, which sold at the upset price of £IBO. The properties at Petone sold as follows : —Section and four-roomed house, Richmond street, at £00; building site of nearly an acre, Jackson street, at £250; four-roomed house and section, Fitzherbert street, at £llO ; a four-roomed cottage and section, Richmond street, at £2OO. For tho section in Cuba street, Wellington, the first bid was £OS per foot, but tho land was passed in at £4O per foot. The auctioneers expect, however, to dispose of this privately during tho week,
