The members of the Wellington Fire Brigade have subscribed about Ji'2o in aid of the widow of the late Branchman H. B. Parsonage, who was accidentally, killed at the beginning of March. The other brigades in the Colony will also be asked to subscribe. The Wainui, which arrived on Sunday brought two boxes of gold, containing 184Goz Gdwib, and valued at .£7400, shipped at Westport for the Bank of New South Wales, Lyttelton, for transhipment to the Doric, which was to leave Lyttelton for England yesterday.
