RAILWAY CONCESSIONS.

Some time ago the Government made a reduction in the railway freight upon the carriage of milk and cream intended for butter making at dairy factories, and also granted the further concession of carrying back free of charge the skim milk from the factories. It has now been decided to make an equivalent reduction of 20 per cent, in the freight upon milk sent to the factories for manufacture into cheese. We are given to understand that with the view of further assisting the coal industry, the Government have in contemplation the expediency of increasing to the extent of 50 per cent, the railway freight on imported coal.
