The alterations and additions to the Palmerston North Post Office have been completed... ■ Thereiis a certain section -of . society called-the Auckland public which is airways, convinced that something must break if Wellington .takes any hand in the proceedings. At a meeting of the Wairarapa Relief Committee in that city the other day two or three of those present got grievously offended because it was suggested that Wellington should be the distributing centre, and considerable dust was kicked up. Petty local jealousy again! '
