FEILDING RACES.

By Telegraph.—Special Reporter. Feilding, November 29. The weather was dull and threatening for tho above fixtures yesterday, and before the St. Andrews Handicap was started a misty sort of rain came oh. For a non-holiday the. attendance was very fair, and numbered about 600 people. The course is in splendid order, i The totalisator investments totalled £3147 for seven races as against £2689 for eight races for the corresponding day last year, being an increase of £458. The Club offered a reward of £5 to anyone giving information about any persons laying o it tailing totalisator odds. The racing during tile day was interesting, and in the First Hack Flying Race 19 horses went to the post, and the starter had to range them in three divisions, consequently the rear crowd had little chance of getting through. Although Gunboat had none the best of the start he managed to win. Homes’ and Cameron’s stable at Bulls appropriated four events, two with Gunboat, and one each with King Harry and Kalmea, Jenkins having the mount in each case. * The following are results :—■ Flying Handicap, 50 sovs; second horse 6 sovs from stakes. Dividend, £7 16s. Time, lmin 20 3-ssec. Spring Hurdle Handicap, 50 sovs; second 5 sovs from stakes. (Anderson) 3 Revolt cut up his usual capers before reaching the post, but the starter taking advantage of the first opportunity, lowered the flag to a very fair start. Bonovoree and Oaklands were together for about a mile when Revolt assumed command, and jumping in rare style, held his own to the finish, winning by a length, Oaklands just beating Bonovoree. As they approached i he bottom of the straight, Auroa was on terms with Tenby, and the former’s victory was loudly proclaimed by admirers of the local horse

(Auroa), but McTaggart, who had been riding a nice race, brought Rangipai along after landing over the last hurdle, and rail heme a comfortable winner by a length', the same distance separating second and third, Kaimaka fourth. Going along the back Senator assumed the lead, a length in front of Lebel and Planet, with Golden Plover and Musket improving their position, and as they turned into the side stretch, they were just behind the leaders. At the gate Monte Carlo dropped back and Golden Plover raced up to Senator and the latter soon after retired, while Musket made his run here, and when fairly in the straight Golden Plover had to be shaken up, but holding his position he won a good race by a length, half a length between second and third, Laura fourth.
