Sir George Grey has received a cordial invitation from the London secretary of a party formed for the purpose of delivering a
feries of lectures on Great Britain and her colonies, with a view to strengthening the bonds between the various parts of tne Empire, and extending the trade. It was hoped that he would be able to allow his name to appear on the programme, but he has been obliged to decline, on the ground of precarious health and the uncertainty of his stay in England.
