Br Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. A MAN STRUCK DEAD IN MELBOURNE. (PRESS association.) Melbourne, May 30. A heavy thunderstorm broke over the city yesterday. An electric light wire at the corner of Russell and Lonsdale streets was broken. A man named Andrews seized J;he wire, and was knocked down. Another, named Herbert Wells, attempting to assist Andrews, caught him by the wrist, and was struck dead. Andrew escaped with a severe burning. The force of the electric current was 2000 volts.
