MASONIC NEWS.
(press association.) Christchurch, October 14. The quarterly communication of tho Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand was held for the first time is Christchurch last night, the M. W.G.M., Bro. Thompson, presiding. Officers from both North and South Islands, and a large number of visiting brethern were present. A considerable amount of routine business was transacted, inoluding the consideration of the proposed Constitution. A vote of sympathy was accorded Bro. E. T, Gillon, P.M., P.D.G.M., in his serious illness, which prevented his attendance.
