DIVORCE CASES.

(per press association.) Gisborne, February 26. In the Supreme Court Mr Justice Conolly granted a decree mai iu the case of Thos. Harris v. Agnes Harris and Wm. Freek Jones. Tho evidence proved adultery between the woman who had been married to petitioner 20 years, sad Jonea, a young man aged 20. Harris had a family of ten ohildren. Chbistchurch, March 3. Mr Justice Denniston to-day granted a_ decree nisi in the divorce case, Zimmerman v. Zimmerman and Flack, which presented some curious features, Zimmerman is a farmer at Lincoln. Two months after marriage his wife went ’away with Flack, a farmer at Chaney's Corner. A month _ later Zimmerman came to town to seek a divorce, met in the street a man named Simpson, who told him he was a lawyer, arid obtained L 5 towards the cost of the proceedings. Zimmerman went home, and Simpson wrote him and got another L 5. Zimmerman let the matter rest for nearly two years, when, finding nothing resulted from his expenditure, he consulted a solicitor. There was no defence to the action.
