NEW ZEALAND RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

JPER PRESS ASSOCIATION. I Napier. November 21,

The range selected for the New Zealand Rifle Association meeting in January is on the property of Mr William Hiaiop, at Omaranui. It is about seven miles from Napier, with a good road, and can be reached by the ’bus in three-quarters of an hour. The aspeot of the range is southerly, with high hills for the background. The firing points are on an open plain, and therefore will not be affected by baffling winds, a 3 there are no gnllies to contend with. Subscriptions towards the expenses of the meeting are coming in freely, and great interest is being manifested in the meeting.

Auckland, November 25.

Steps are to be taken to send an Auokland representative to the New Zealand Rifle Association’s forthcoming meeting, to be held near Napier.
