Sellers.—Argosy, 5d ; Cumberland, 2s 9d ; Exchange, 6d ; Keep.it-Dark, 11s ; No. 2 Dark, 2s ; Alpines, 25s 6d. Buyers.—Progress, Is 6d, Returns.—Globe, 1550 z of amalgam from 190 tons; Keep-it-Dark, 2410 z from 135 tons; Alpine, 190 oz from 185 tons (top plates only); Inkerman, 178 oz from 150 tons ; Progress, 2930 z for the week. Reports.—lnkerman—For the week 177 ft of stoping was done, and the winze sunk 18ft; expeot to cat the reef in the next 10ft. The prospector on the South lease is driving on 2ft 6iu, 2oz stone. The Hercules reef in the South end iB 6ft wide, and shows good gold. The Venus battery will start crushing on Monday ; about 120 tons of quartz is to grass. The market is dull.

(PKR PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Westport, November 23. The coal export for the week ended Satur* day last was 4290 tonß 11 owt. Greymouth, November 23. The week’s export of coal was 4155 tone. Dunedin, November 23. A sample of the coal recently discovered at Catlin’s has been forwarded to Professor Black for analysis. Trials have been made of other samples with good results, these showing it to be good gas coal. It also makes coke, and leaves a residinm of clinker, showing it to be true coal, the first of its kind found in Otago. In the same locality ironstone and lime exist, but to what extent is not yet known.
