From a work on Hindoo folk-lore we learn that if a person is drowned, struck by lightning, bitten by a snake, or poisoned, or loses his life by any kind of accident, or by suloido, then he goes usually to hell. If he dies naturally on a bed or a roof, he becomes a " Bhnt 1 ’ or evil spirit. It is calculated that there are fully 70,000 Germane living in London at the present time.
