FATALITIES.

(per press association.) Auckland, April 29. On the last voyage of the Alameda from Auckland to San Francisco, a saloon passenger, Mr W. A. Durlack, a member of the Sydney firm of Bett and Co., fell overboard on April 4th and was drowned. Intelligence has been received of the death, in England, of MrG. P, Osmond, well known in athletic circles in Auckland. He left for Home about eight months ago, having come into possession of a property, but died of consumption. Timaru, April 29. With reference to the supposed drowning ease here, a kitten has been found in the harbour which had been given to the second mate of the barque Kinclune to take on board with him. This leaves no doubt that the unfortunate man haa been drowned.
