By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. THE CAPTAIN AND 22 OF THE CREW DROWNED. (reuter’s telegrams.) London, .April 19. Latest telegrams regarding the stranding of the Peninsular and Oriental Company’s steamship Tasmania state that the captain, the fifth officer, the quartermaster, and 20 of the crew (Lascars) have been drowned, but the rest of the ship’s company and all the passengers have been saved. It is feared that the vessel will become a total wreck.
