TRIAL OF SHEEP DIP.

(united press, association. ). Christchurch,.. April 20. A sheep dip trial on a large scale, under the auspices of tho Agricultural and Pastoral Association, took place at Spreydon today and yesterday. Brands competing were Merton and White’s Zealandia, McDougall’s, Hatch’s, Little’s, Thomas’, Brooks', and Cooper’s, eight in all. Twenty-five sheep nearly free from vermin were dipped in each of the mixtures. A further trial with dirty sheep will be held as soon as they can be obtained. The sheep dipped are to be paddocked together with 50 undipped sheep, and examined by a committee at intervals until the shearing and effects of the dipping are noted. After shearing, the wool will be scoured and dyed, when the committee will report.
