THE QUEEN’S JUBILEE.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND MAIL. Sir, —The celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee is taking different shapes throughout the British Empire. Would not the formation of a Free Library in the City of Wellington be an appropriate form for the celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee to take, with a marble bust of Her Majesty at the entrance hall? This would be an undertaking in which all parties and sects would cheerfully join, conferring as it would upon the inhabitants of the City of Wellington, and the Colony generally, a great public benefit. I should be glad to take an active part in carrying out the suggestion should it meet the approval of the public.—l am, &c., J. H. Wallace. Wellington, March 26.
