FIRE AT NAPIER.

UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Napier, February 8, A fire occurred in a cottage at Hastingsstreet this afternoon, endangering several blocks of buildings, as a high wind was blowing. The Fire Brigade was very quickly on the spot, and with a high-pressure water supply all danger was soon over. The cottage was owned by Henry Williams, and was gutted. It was insured in the New Zealand office for £SO, and was occupied by a cabinetmaker named Beel. He loses furniture, tools, etc. to the value of £l5O, over which there was no insurance.
