DELIRIUM TREMENS CASES.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch, November 3.

At the meeting of the Hospital Board today, a letter was received from the Inspector of Prisons, stating that the Minister of Jußtiee saw no reason to. alter his opinion that delirium tremens cases could lawfully be remanded to Hospital for treatment, and that therefore such cases would not be admitted into the prisons after 31st March next. The Board decided to communicate with other Hospital Boards in the Colony with the view of concerted action being taken to prevent the Hospitals being used for the reception of these cases.
