Melbourne, October 28.

Messrs R. Goldsborough and Co., limited, held their usual weekly wool sale yesterday afternoon to a large attendance of Home and Foreign buyers. Owing to telegrams of an unsatisfactory nature Laving been received from the manufacturing centres of England and the Continent, competition was less spirited, and prices were barely maintained. Greasy wool generally is from to #d lower, and scoured wool from fd to Id lower than at the commencement of the present season ; inferior to good greasy wools realizing from to' 10|d per lb, and inferior to average scoured, from lOd to Is 6Jd per lb. Four thousand bales were offered, of which 2500 were sold-
