FATAL ACCIDENTS.
(UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Blenheim, October 14,
A fatal accident occurred this evemng to a man named Robert Arrow, a grazing farmer in the Awatere district, about 25 miles from Blenheim. H« was driving home in a’dray, and when about a mile from town fell from the vehicle. The wheel passed over his chest, and death ensued before the arrival of a medical man. An inquest will be held to-morrow. Tbe deceased was an old settler in the district, and about 40 years of age. He had many relatives, including a wife and family. Auckland, October 16.
Messrs Robertson and Pii>r, of Watituna, were drowned at Raglan yesterday, through the capsizing of a sailing boat. Prior s body has been recovered, but not Robertson’s. Kumaba, October 18.
Michael Cadlvac, mate of Michael Burke and party, was killed in his claim this morning by the caving in of an old “jimp up. His mate, Maurice Joyce, had a narrow escape, being partially covered by the same fall of earth, but was rescued.
