YOUNG THIEVES.

(UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, October 15.

Four lads, of from 14 to 16, were convicted to-day of stealing oil-drums from the Government. A detective stated that one firm had lost 93, and the Government over 100. One of the boys was ordered to come up for sentence when called on. Three received one month ; and on another charge one who is at present in gaol was sentenced to three months.
