FATAL EFFECTS OF CHLORODYNE.

An elderly man named Robert Hill was found dead in his bed last night. He was a respectable man, retired from business, and living in a home by himself. Mr Hill not having been seen about for a day or two, the police broke in and found him dead in bed, with the pillow and sheets saturated with chlorodyne, and two bottles on a table by his bedside. An inquest was held to-day, and a verdict returned that decased died from an overdose of chlorodyne, taken to induce sleep.
