THE WRECK OF THE CLEOPATRA.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Napier, September 23,
Captain Gleadow returned last night, and reports having sold, on behalf of the underwriters, the wreck of the Cleopatra for £2O. He brings back the stern of the boat, with “Cleopatra” painted on it, and some clothing, picked up on the beach. Captain Gleadow is of opinion that the schooner capsized out at sea and drifted on to the rocks at Waikokopu.
