Thursday, September 3, (Before Mr H. S, Wardell, R.M.) BREACH OP THE PEACE. J. H. Price, for committing a breach of the peace in the Commercial Hotel, Willis-streefc, on the eyening of the 2nd, was fined 20s, and 23 6d costs. LARCENY. Roberts, alias Robert Thompson, was charged with stealing a revolver, valued at £2, the property of Julia Murphy. The alleged stolen article had been found in the possession of the prisoner, but Mr Shaw, who appeared for the defence, said that accused had been forced to take the weapon from the woman, as she had presented it at him. The Bench dismissed the information.
