On Thursday evening a couple of horses with flying harness were seen tearing down the Avenue, at Wanganui, and crossed the bridge at full galop. It seems they were two of Mr C. Gordon's, which Dr Earle had taken away in a buggy the same afternoon, intending to visit Mr T. Gordon at the Mission Station. From the appearance of the harness it did not appear as though any accident had happened to the. buggy or its occupants. It has been ascertained that the horses were taken out from the buggy and hitched up at the Missionary Station, from which they broke adrift and bolted home.
