We have received Hobart Town papers to the 12th inst. Hobart Town Markets, November 11. Wheat has very slightly declined, about three pence per bushel, but still continues at a good remunerating price, as fallow : Fine flour at the mills, £2O to £2l. Wheat, .9s. to 9s. 9d. ; bats, 6s. ta 6s. 9d. ; barley, English, 7s. to 7s. 6U.; Cape ditto, ss. to ss. 6d.; Cobbett's corn, 3s. 9d. to 4s. per bushel ; hay, (loose) 7s. 6d. to Bs. per cwt.; ditto (pressed) Bs. 6d. to 9s. ditto ; straw, 4s. 6d. per ditto ; Port Arthur coals, 145.; Sydney ditto, 425. per ton ; she oak, 10s.; gum wood, 7s. per ton. Potatoes, £l2 to £l4 per ton ; cabbages, per dozen f 2s. ; turnips, per dozen bunches, 2s. : carrots, ss. per cwt. ; cauliflowers, 4s. per dozen ; new potatoes, 2d. per lb; •• Turkeys, 14s. to 165.; geese,, 10s, to 125.; ducks, Bs. to 10s.; fowls, 4s. to 6s. per pair; eggs, Is. 4d. per dozen; fresh butter, 2s. per lb. Shingles, 10s. per thousand ; posts and rails, 335. per hundred feet; paling, 8 feet, 6s. to Bs. per hundred; ditto, 6 feet, 4s. per hundred. Launceston Grain Market, November 10. ✓ Union Steam Mills. Wheat 7s. to 95., barley 6s. to 7s. 6d., oats 4s. to ss. 6d, pollard is., bran Is. 6d. per bushel ; flour, first quality, £22, second £2O, ration £l6 per 20001bs.— Launceston Advertiser* The )3ank of Australasia.. .The Morning Herald of June the Bth, contains an account of the seventh annual meeting of the Bank of Australasia. The affairs of the Bank appear to be extremely prosperous. A dividend of 4 per cent for the half year was declared, witk a bonus of £ 1 on each share. The Bank capital is to be increased to £900,000, and eventually to one million and a half of money ! We have not space for the entire report, but the "following paragraph relating to Hobart Town management is highly complimentary to Mr. Holcombe; "In the colony of Van Diemen's Land the success of the establishment has been equally satisfactory, and the improvement in the business of the Hobart Town branch reflects great credit upon its present management. Hobari Town Advertiser.. It was currently reported in London, at the sailing of the Garland Grove, that Major General Sir Octavius Carey " has been appointed to an Australian Government." Whether this officer is to succeed Sir George Sir John Franklin or to be the first Governor of" independent" Port Phillip, it is not yet stated. We give the report as we receive it, Murray's Review.
