SERVICE WEDDING

ADAMS—KERSHAW The wedding of Miss Bessie Kershaw, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Kershaw, of Astley Avenue, New Lynn, to Trooper Harry Adams, Second N.Z.E.E. (on furlough), only son of Sergeant and Mrs. E. M. Adams, of Jervois Road, Heme Bay, took place on Saturday at Pitt Street Methodist Church. The Rev. E. T. Olds officiated. The bride, who was given away by Iter father, wore a picture frock of white silk net. with a satin appliqued skirt. Her short tulle veil was held in place by a topknot of small white llowers, and she carried a bouquet of white stock and hyacinths to match The bridesmaid, Miss Molly Adams, wore a frock of apple green and silver crepe, with which her topknot and bouquet of gold flowers made an effective contrast. The best man was Sapper Les Whinham, who is on furlough. The reception after the ceremony was held at the Domain Tea Kiosk.
