CROQUET TOURNEY
CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS The Auckland Croauet Association's annual champion of champions contest was commenced yesterday, the New Zealand buttons competition being played in conjunction. Results of play were:— Champion of Champions.—-At Mount Eden: Mrs. Hickson beat Mrs. Hilton, Mrs. Henrys beat Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Cole beat Mrs. Henrys, Mrs Breckon, and Mrs. Wilson; Mrs. Carter, beat Mrs. Breckon and Mrs. Jones; Miss Keatley beat Miss Washer and Mrs. Hickson; Mrs. Hilton beat Mrs. Clarke; Mrs. Breckon beat Mrs. Henrys. B Buttons. —At United: Mrs. Sheldon beat Mrs. Baston; Mrs. Walters beat Mrs. Purdie, Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Davidson; Mrs. Cleave beat Mrs. Hawke and Mrs. Bree; Mrs. Morley beat Mrs. Sheldon; Mrs. Kobcrtson beat, Mrs. Kytej Mrs. Colthurst beat Mrs. West. C Buttons.—At United: Mrs. Knowles beat Mrs. Edgerley and Mrs. Mrs. Pugh beat Mrs. Ardern; Mrs. Topliss beat Mrs. Prendergrast; Mra. Chiett beat Miss Joyce; Mrs. McKeown beat Mrs. Cluett; Mrs. St ormont beat Mrs. Ward; Mrs. Wilcox beat Mrs. McDonnell; Mrs. Barlow beat Mrs. McDougall; Mrs. Grove beat Mrs. Hogan. Mrs. Knowles plays Mrs. Barlow in the final to-day.
