SCOUTS AND GUIDES
gj ri —Jt was with pride I listened-jn to the Governor-General's speech on Scouts and Guides in opening yp the scout week. I belonged to a guide company in London during the last sfpß war. It was formed by the younger |||| girls working in a factory. The lady IH welfare worker was the captain and < we soon had a large company formed. I do not know whether there are factories in New Zealand which have their own guide or scout company, but it is an excellent way of bringing the • j younger folk together in sport as well as work. . . I must say it was and etill i s a "Teat ideal. We had times together in camp that one can never forget in life. It is an excellent way of having a holiday in camp among girls whose friendship one can always treasure. Thanks Badge.
