STATE MINE STOPPAGES

GREYMOUTH. Wednesday Owing to a shortage of waggons, the Liverpool State mine was idle to-day. Shipping delays reduced the number of hoppers available and there were not sufficient flat waggons to enable overland orders to be handled. With the bins full, the management had to close down the mine for one day. It will resume to-morrow. The Blackball State mine, which was idle yesterday on account of an accumulation of water in working places, resumed to-day.
