three hospital cases Three patients were admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday suffering from injuries caused by falls. When he fell from a stepladder at his residence late yesterday afternoon, a New Zealand Railways guard, Mr. Samuel Pemberton, aged 50, of 49 Rockfield Road, Ellerslie, suffered contusions to the chest. His condition last night was stated to be fairly serious. A fracture of the left ankle was suffered by Mrs. Ethel Mary Smith, aged 53, of River Road, Tuakau, when she fell at her home late yesterday afternoon. She was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. A four-year-old child, Jennifer Ellis, daughter of Mrs. I. Ellis, of 12 William Avenue, Green Lane, fractured her left arm last night, also as the result of a fall at homo.
