Acceptances close at 5 p.m. on Friday. TAKANINI GALLOPS ROUND UP RUNS GOOD SIX An excellent six furlongs by Round Up and Cornish, fine efforts by First Edition, Miss Gay. Cambria and Gold Money Song, andla good half-mile by River Plate were features oc the galloping on the middle grass at Takanini yesterday. The poles were out ISft and the going was f ast. . /WSU . Round Up (Home) and Cornish (Wilkinson) were associated over six furlongs in 1.17, the last three being run in 38s. Round Up led early and in a spirited finish prevailed bv a head. Both are in nice order. Sea-law (Home) was better than Proud Fox (\\ llkinson) over six furlongs in 1.18. Sea-law did his work attractively. He is greatly improved. Honeywood completed six furlongs on the plough easily in 1.19. Ascot Bloom was well clear of Dublin Show after running 1.19 3-5. Foxola ran 1.19. , ~ Gold Money Song (Home) entered the straight clear of Cambria (Hooton), but there was little between them at the end of five furlongs in 1.2 3-5. The best five furlongs was recorded by First Edition (Bcguely), who had a shade the better of the weights, when he defeated Miss Gay (Hooton) in 1.2 2-5. Verus and Borak ran 1.3 4-5. Poker Dice took 1.0 2-5. „ , River Plate (Coker) showed dash while running half a mile in 51 2-ss. Royal Merit (Hooton) had the measure of Dash o' D'ink (Logan) after running 51 3-ss. Heroic Star was superior to Merry May in 535, time which was equalled by Imperial Eagle. Representative and Kentish completed the last three of four furlongs nicely in 375. Water Vixen covered seven furlongs on the plough in 1.32 Flood Tide worked over the same ground in 1.34. Saccone sprinted the last couple of furlongs of his work in 25 3-ss. Gayjax was timed to run three furlongs in 39 3-5s Indian Princess ran 395. TO CORRESPONDENTS "Beau Leon," Papatoetoe.—Blue Border ran unplaced in the Marton Cup.
