NEW SCHOOLS

PASADENA AND ONEHUNGA An announcement that the new intermediate schools at Pasadena, Western Springs, and at Onehunga would be opened next March and April respectively was made by the chairman, Mr. W. J. Campbell, at a meeting of the Auckland Education Board yesterday. The Pasadena School will cater for pupils from Point Chevalier, Gladstone, Grey Lynn and Westmere schools and the roll number is expected to be between 480 and 520. At the new Onehunga School will be pupils from Onehunga, Royal Oak, To Papapa and Mount Roskill schools, the roll number being between 500 and 530. Mr. R. G. S. Watson was appointed head teacher at Pasadena and Mr. H. Binsted head teacher at Onehunga. j
