PARCELS FOR PRISONERS
GOODS BEING RECEIVED NEW ZEALANDERS IN GERMANY (Rocd. 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 6 New Zealanders with relatives and friends who are prisoners of war in Germany will be glad to know that in most instances the men are receiving parcels fairly regularly. New Zealand House has Just received two letters from prisoners. The first, from a flight-lieutenant, says: "Now food, clothes and cigarettes are coming in excellent fashion from England. Indeed to-day was a red-letter day. Three New Zealanders in my room had clothes from New Zealand House, while cigarettes came from their country. Many thanks for the excellent help you are giving." A flight-sergeant wrote: "To date I have received one personal clothing parcel, five cigarette parcels and three big parcels from the New Zealand Patriotic Fund. On behalf of the other New Zealanders and myself, please thank the Patriotic Fund Board for its kindness in forwarding parcels to us."
