ELLERSLIE TRAINING NIGHT PILOT GOES SOLIDLY A sound seven furlongs by Night Pilot and Odtaa and a smart three by the two-year-olds Travancore and Sun Trap were features of the work at Elterslie on Saturday. The No. 2 grass was used and the going was fast. Travancore (Messervy) and Sun Trap (Bagby) sprinted three furlongs in 36 3-ss, a good effort. Travancore lost ground making the turn but soon made it up in the straight and looks good. Sun Trap shaped very well for one who has not had much sprinting. Embassy (Manson) pleased better than Transcript (Markwick) over half a mile in 50s. Night Pilot (Bagby) appeared to be going netter than Odtaa (Howard) after running seven furlongs in 1.30 4-5, the last six in 1.37 1-5. Night Pilot is coming on again. •Corot (Tremain). sprinted 'four- furlongs innOs. Llandaff (Messervy) strode over five furlongs in 1.7 1-5 He is very bright and muscular. Camilla (Gilchrist) placed seven furlongs behind in 1.33 4-5. Happicoat (Smith) dashed over three furlongs in 37 l-ss. Venture covered the same ground in 30 2-ss. Tea Raider (Harris) and the Defoe—Pollyanna gelding (Stratton) ran three furlongs in 38 l-os.
