TJEAR ANNE SHIRLEY—The grass - in our hay-paddock is fairly long and one day a little quail flew up and in the grass was a little quail egg. Now there are four in it.' We have ten little chicks now, too, and a little banty. sitting, too. She hasn't any eggs, but she is very fussy / if anyone goes near her. There is an aid wild duck near the shed on a pool and a, hawk is always trving to get the little ducklings, but .. the old duck always beats him off. We also have a dear wee lamb who loves to £0 round the hens' nests and. although she gets pecked, she never stops putting her little nose in.—Lots of luck from your sincere member.
