HOME GUARD PARADES MANOEUVRES CANCELLED ." (0.C.) TE KUITI. Wednesday , Advice has teen received from tho Oil Fuel Controller, Mr. G. L. Laurenson, through histjrlpcal offiqers, that petrol licences in future will not be granted to Home Guardsmen to permit theitn to -, attend parades. In addition the Oil Fuel Controller will not grant licences for the holding of manoeuvres unless applications have been submitted to him and his approval has been obtained. The immediate result of the decision has been the cancellation of the combined manoeuvres which were to have been held at Boddy's Hill next weekend. Units from Piopio, Aria, Mahc>enui and Mokauiti were to have taken part.
