[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION ] NAPIER, Friday Charged with bookmaking, Arthur Joseph Yeo, aged 48, was to-day sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment. The magistrate said a man could not look upon fines as his licence, and imprisonment was one way of stopping that. On a further charge of being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a car, accused was. sentenced to one week's imprisonment, the sentences to be cumulative. His driving licence was suspended, and he was forbidden to secure another for one year. He was also fined £5 for resisting the police.
