MEN RESUME WORK

WESTFI ELD BOXMAKERS A settlement was reached yesterday in the dispute affecting 30 men employed in the box-making department and timber yard at the Westfield freezing works. The men, who are members of tho Timber Workers' Union, stopped work the previous day when the management would not accede to a demand for an extra 3d an hour. Negotiations were continued yesterday morning between the secretary of the union, Mr. F. Craig, and representatives of the Westfield Freezing Company, Limited. As a result a small increase in wages was granted and the men returned to work in the afternoon.
