The fast work was confined almost to visiting horse#, and among those to gallop well were EiMllant, Paymaster, Full Hand, Volifos and tittle "Ruse. Expellant (Williamson) dashed: over four furlongs in 50s. Paymaster (Messervy) was responsible for a similar effort. Bdth look Wd and moved very freely. Full. Hand (Preston) - finished in front of Volifox after running six furlongs in 1.16. Volifox is very bright and muscular, and she-ehoald give a good account of herself in the Alison Cup. Little Ruse (Grattan) sprinted four furlongs in 49 4-ss. He is in great heart and i&s never looked better. Century (McFarlane) went smoothly over three furlongs in 38s. The Cardinal (Ford) worked steadily over a round w 1,50 3-5. He may come into favour for the Alison Cup if the track is soft. Aintree CFord) ran the last five of eix furlongs in 1.7.
