Barrow, Air Secretary, arrived from Wellington yesterday. Mr. F. H. Bass of Wellington, arrived yesterday and is at the Grand Hotel. .'s Dr. M. H. Watt, Director-General of Health, returned to Wellington by air yesterday. Commodore W. E. Parry, C.8., K.N., Chief of the Naval Staff, arrived from Wellington yesterday. Mr. H. Gatty, New Zealand representative of Pan American Airways, returned yesterday from Wellington. Mr. H, W. Dallison, workshop superintendent, Railway Department, travelled to Wellington yesterday afternoon. • , Mr. R. B. Tennent, director of the fields division of the Department of Agriculture, returned to Wellington last night. Mr. J. L. Menzies, Australian Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, arrived from Wellington yesterday and is at the Grand Hotel. Bishop Liston will be absent from the city during the next 10 days on a pastoral visit to Dargaville and •,;he parishes of the Far North. Mr. -T. R. Virtue, of Wellington, has been elected president "of the New Zealand Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants' Federation. He returned to the south yesterday afternoon. The Hon. W. Nash, Minister 6f Fin. anee of Customs, arrived from the south yesterday morning. After opening the new mill of New Zealand Forest Products, Limited, ..he returned south last night.
