SOCIETY'S NEW PRESIDENT [BY TELEGRAPH—: PRESS ASSOCIATION*] WELLINGTON, Thursday With the approval of Archbishop O'Shea, Mr. David J. Loahv, of Wellington, has been appointed president ol tho New Zealand Superior Council ol the St. Vincent de Paul Society ii: place of the late Mr. P. D. Hoskins Mr. Leahy has been a member of the superior council since its inception. He has taken a prominent part in Romai Catholic affairs in New Zealand and ii a prominent member of the Nations Eucharistic Congress executive.
